excellent access to parks and city attractions for weekend wanderers
I found the hotel a fantastic base for exploring, with the San Diego Zoo almost 3 km away and picturesque Seaport Village just a short walk from the hotel, making it super easy to enjoy the scenic waterfront views. As a single traveler, I appreciated the friendly vibes and the great common areas where I could relax after my strolls around the city.

Decent Stay, But Be Prepared
I spent a night here and appreciated the friendliness of the staff. However, be ready to tackle staircases, as there’s no elevator. I suggest arriving early to secure street parking since it can be tricky to find. Overall, an okay budget option but not ideal for everyone.

missingWrote a review on Aug 02vintage charmcozy spacesgreat locationlimited parking
The hotel offers a unique boutique experience, highlighting its vintage charm and cozy shared spaces, perfect for mingling with other guests. Its location near Little Italy makes it easy to find amazing food options and enjoy the vibrant neighborhood atmosphere.
Check-in can be a real hassle, especially if you arrive late when there’s barely any staff around to help out. Be prepared for visible maintenance issues. some common areas could use a thorough cleaning, and it’s easy to find neglected details like dusty fixtures and cluttered hallways. Also, parking is quite tricky since street parking is limited, and you'll likely need to drive around to find a spot, not ideal if you're carrying luggage.

comfortable stay but lacking in service
The cozy patio inside offered a nice place to relax and enjoy the atmosphere. I appreciated having a separate bathroom for each room, making it feel more private despite the hostel-like vibe.
Not extremely friendly staff.

Had a great time with friends! We loved the location, easy access to great food in Little Italy, and the clean rooms made it a comfy stay. The continental breakfast was a nice perk, but be prepared for a call-in if you arrive late! Definitely check out the nearby waterfront.
We had some trouble getting into the hotel at night since the late night number wasn’t answering, but we managed once we called during the day.

I really loved the cozy vibe of my queen room with a charming, albeit small, bathroom that felt quite private. The lush garden offered a perfect spot to chill with a cup of coffee, and the relaxing seating by the fire pit was a definite highlight. Just a heads up, the floors could’ve used a quick sweep, but it didn’t ruin my stay! 😊
